Making a record can often seem like an overwhelming task. Choosing a studio, engineer, scheduling recording time and all the choices and decisions it takes to finish a project can feel like climbing a mountain with clouds obscuring the peak. Having a guide who has climbed that mountain over and over can save time, money and make the voyage fun and exciting! That’s the way I look at my role in the process. I’ve worked on many recordings on both sides of the glass and have developed the knowledge required to get your project to the summit. Check out the Discography page to listen to (or buy!) some of the recordings I’ve worked on over the years.
Apart from recording, mixing and editing, over 20 years of experience as a professional trombonist and musician have led me to develop skills as an arranger, conductor and studio musician. I can read your orchestral score and talk the talk of classically trained musicians, getting the results you are looking for. If you are seeking strings, winds, rhythm section players or obscure instruments I have a vast network of collaborators to pull from, all with the experience to work efficiently and help realize your creative dreams.
I also offer location recording services, be it in a club, church, cabin in the woods, or even your own practice space using the same high-quality mics and gear that are listed on the Equipment page.
